What's your biggest pet peeve right now at oemc?
Welcome to a new blog made just for us frustrated , hard working employees of our beloved building over at Madison and Loomis. Please no names, initials are fine. One of my biggest pet peeves at oemc is that darn parking lot. Whatever happened to only us employees can park there. ONe day there is going to be a bad accident and it is going to include one of our own!

people coming up late from roll call. some people are always the first ones up and others are still on the "M" level talking smack and drinking coffee or in the kitchen getting coffee or watching tv or out smoking. go make your reliefs first and let the people go home who have been there...then go do what you have to. FR on days is one of the WORST offenders. she comes up AFTER 6am almost every damn day

Add to this list, eating , constantly, while you work at the consoles....having to sit down & see all the crumbs on the floor, on the chair , & in the keyboard!
Clipping of fingernails at the consoles......the cut off pieces end up in the keyboard..disgusting!
Talking on your cell phone at the console..........even if it's an emergency call from home (which is probably less than 1% of the time), just say hold on , then go out to the hall or atrium!
To 1:46 pm....you are right! And 3rd watch has SC as the winner for ALWAYS being the last one. And my guess for the 1st watch would be ?????mmmmmmmmm........SM!
And a few common sense items: don't stand right in the doorway and have a conversation then give a person a dirty look that wants to get thru that doorway! Don't have a loud, boisterous conversations , while someone else is already seated , before you get in the breakroom , is watching & actually listening to the tv. Just plain rude, but then look around.... 25 - 50% do that all the time!

funny you mention the simple things that you think mean common sense, the other day I was getting off the elevator and another certain someone was literally standing right up on the door so as it opened i was smothered trying to get off, people step aside and see if someone is getting off the elevator nobody wants you breathing all over them when all they want to do is get off the elevator!
