Goin back in time
Here's a chance to tell your most favorite 911 call story. Was it the cat stuck in the tree, no ma'am we really don't go on that. Was it the send the police story for my 5 year old son who won't go to school? Was it the send the police because my husband put handcuffs on me and we can't get them off? Whatever you remember as your funniest, saddest, proudest, weirdest 911 call moment. Let us all know!

Saddest things I can remember (gone now):
A robbery in 014 where a coupla punks beat an 80+ year old man on the street. Everybody in 014 responded because they and I and anyone in the law enforcement profession despises such actions.
A gang shooting in 007 on third watch where a 5 or 6 year old girl on the street got caught in the crossfire. Everybody in 007 responded because they and I and anyone in the law enforcement profession despises such actions.
Working with J on zone 4 on midnights and hearint Officer CD behind me on zone 5 repeating Michael Ceriale's partners call that Michael was shot. At 2:00 in the morning, there is nothing that will get the entire CPD in the city awake as much as such a call. Everybody who could respond did. Still the absolute low point of 6 years there, as it was the only time I ever served as an earwitness to such an event and it still haunts me these years later. RIP Michael.
Best: Shootings in 007 or 008 on third watch where someone or other would get in a foot or vehicle chase 90 seconds after the call went out. Nothing like having everybody in THOSE busy districts drop what they are doing and respond until the "in custody" gets called out. Yay 007 and 008.
Car chases in 011. You could lead a chase into 011, but nobody ever got out of 011 in a chase. Everybody would end up crashing. Into El poles, other cars, houses, whatever. No offender ever got out of 011 in a car chase alive. Or at least it seemed that way. Yay 011!
Funny? Keep your mouths shut please. The funniest stuff was always that which would get you sued should anyone ever find out.
