What does he look like?

This post hopefully will get to the right person. You see it has been a few weeks now and well we were told we have a new boss. The papers call him the "acting." Well is he acting or is he our leader? Either way, he still hasn't introduced himself to all of us. Some of us have seen him once or twice, some not at all. The only time I've seen him was on tv when he told a large crowd that he wasn't happy with us and that the appropriate action will be taken, perhaps termination, well maybe not those exact words but pretty darn close. So Mr boss please look at it from our perspective, we haven't met you, you haven't come to our roll calls, we know nothing about you and the only thing we do now is that some of us feel like we are in a boat without a paddle, just when we thought we were headed in the right direction

Just when you think it couldn't get any worse....

I remember the Trotter days, when everyone thought Huberman was going to be SO much better...

And then I remember the Huberman days, when everyone thought ANYONE could be so much better....

Then we got AV3, and lets face it, what the hell difference did he make while he was here?

So now we have Ruiz, and everyone thought, "Oh boy, it can't get much worse than it has been for the last 5 years..." But I think that in the last week alone, that man has done more to kill ops floor morale than MK did during most of her tenure as "acting deupty director".

OK, maybe that last statement is an exaggeration. We'd have to take a poll to find out if THAT were true. I would just like to know one thing:

WHEN IN THE HELL ARE WE GOING TO HAVE A BOSS AND LEADER THAT KNOWS SOMETHING (ANYTHING!!) ABOUT HOW THE CURRENT 911 SYSTEM WORKS??????

listen, the problem with ruiz is that his strings are being pulled by the gay blade RH. he will cuddle up inside richies azz until hes told to move on. be assured he will not do a damn thing to back anyone up there. all you have to do is look at the conditions at iscn where mr r came from. thats an accident waiting to happen. how about a novel idea... everyone do there job to the best of their abilty and if the shit hits the fan have a good attorney. i can't believe the city continues to cart people through that place like its a state of the art facility. 40 year old technology. please. biometric handprint tech... yuck... 40 year old technolgy people. typical city bs. buyin old shit and wanting us to make it work. damn damn damn

I dont want to hear that he's a nice guy. Thats a load of crap.
He went on T.V and LIED!
Someone should find the sop about dispatch times where it states we have 10 min to dispatch a priority 1 assignment not 2-3 minutes and mail that to fran speilman . Who gives a shit if he is a nice guy. I'm tired of hearing that crap about his hands are tied. Someday, these people are going to all go down and then not only will they not have their job they won't have any honor or pride either because they sold out.

    7:17 PM,

    you forgot one thing.

"Then we got AV3, and lets face it, what the hell difference did he make while he was here?"

Uh, hellooooooo. He rightfully rid us of MK, who was given to us by Cortez Trotter and Stanley Rynewski, and then adopted by Huberman. For that alone, Velasquez deserves our kudos.

If you do not think so, imagine if she were still here. Now, hold that thought for a minute and then tell me he doesn't deserve a little thanks. Velasquez was the one that finally had the balls to make the change. I, for one, thank him.

there is no SOP that gives the dispatch times... there is no SOP that lists the priorities... the priorities are listed in CPD general orders... the times, well, they just are... there is nothing in any written order saying how long we have to dispatch jobs... all of that was set up and is still controlled by CPD

"acting" means he was named by daley and isn't technically the director yet.....he has to be approved by the city council/aldercreatures/rubber stamps....they should be asking questions but we know how that goes; who the hades is MK? Trotter, Huberman and Velazquez were named but only initials for MK? inform an outsider please...and just know doesn't matter how good a job you're doing they'll throw you under a bus in a heartbeat (and they'll make sure no one calls 911).
