Why can't we all be comfortable on Friday?

So, just throwing around some ideas here. Wouldn't it be nice if the ops floor was able to wear comfy clothing like the rest of the building on Friday? Can't help but notice the numerous pairs of jeans I see strolling through the building. Jealous? Heck yeah I'm jealous because we get hammered day in and day out. No matter what watch you work, Summertime is a busy time! I don't think jeans one day of the week will hurt, do you?

Agreed. But I doubt it will ever happen.

Disagreed. It makes for a sloppy looking workplace, besides, seeing most of you in jeans is a nightmare I do not want to visit.

It will never be allowed because of all the high profile tours that come through this place

I agree with 11:13. How the hell does wearing ass tight or baggy ass hanging jeans ease the stress of a hot Friday working the ops floor? What is heard by my ears, spoken from my mouth and prcessed thru my brain cells is in NO WAY affected by what my ASS is wearing.

How about every FRIDAY HOLIDAY off with pay. Now that would ease the stress. LOL.....mmm I'm having a daydream, daydreaming is my kind of world, I'm having a daydream, da da da, la la da da!

we don't have those types of luxuries because of the people who constantly break the rules. we have the jean dress down days as long as you wear the appropriate 911 shirt....yet most people can't even do that right, they wear whatever they want and it ends up screwing us over. go by the rules and don't get mad when they start enforcing them more. i hear people whining and complaining about the new possibilities of uniform inspection, but that was part of the job wear the uniform correctly and you should be thankful that you were able to be laxed for so long. now get with it and go by the rules, you get an allowance to help, no room to complain about something so petty. i think we need to pick our battles better.

Good thoughts on both sides here.

People have always screwed up the relaxation of uniform rules going back to the '90s and before. Business casual on a Thanksgiving never failed to produce multiple employees wearing cutoff or holey sweat pants.

That said, why not have at least an alternate uniform shirt for the stress-days? Would it hurt so much to allow people a dark uniform t-shirt or pullover sweatshirt.

I mean, I like polyester blends as much as the next guy, but sometimes it would be nice to be a bit more comfortable when dealing with all the stress the city can offer.

unfortunately we do have idiots that take casual wear to the extreme..old buzzards in loud pink jeans or some people in coo-lots just doesn;t fit the criteria of "PROPER BUSINESS ATTIRE" SO THOSE FEW WOULD make it bad for us
