To bag or not to bag

So that is the latest dilemma , no biggie. If you bag can't fit in the drawer, don't bring it. That sounds easy right?

Sorry, but this is off topic....

I was reading a discussion on another blog which mentioned calltakers questioning callers who were reporting suspicious people (who happened to be black) and the subsequent delay in response.....

I, too have had similar incidents when calling in a suspicious vehicle parked in an alley (recent garage burglaries).

To my understanding every incoming call is assigned a number when answered, is this the same "event number" given to cpd & cfd?

One poster on the other blog mentions requesting a copy of the call be sent to your home at the beginning of the call, is there a procedure in place for you to make this happen when requested?

Thanks in advance for your help..

Actually the point is this..once again..midnights have ruined things for the rest of us..if they didn't need to bring in crates, suitcases on wheels and everything else they own...this wouldn't have happened...

    MRSA!!!!!!!
At 1345 hrs this date the management of the oemc was notified via rollcall of a MRSA infection in 2 of the 3rd watch employees. They were told by the doctors that their work place was in need of decontamination and in the mean time we should wipe down every thing and use our purell and wash our hands all the time. Sounds like an easy fix right?? So why didn't one supervisor, manager or director take the time to get us wipes - could have been done - - but no we all had to sit there until 2200 hrs and worry that we could get sick. The place is a filthy pit lately, black mold in the kitchen, a moldy ice machine, bugs in the atrium and the fridge - UHG!!!!People don't flush - what's up with that? Oh by the way - can you work your lunch - we could really use the help?? Well guess what - WE could really use some help.

How about the MRSA??? I hope there is a plan to disinfect the entire operations floor. Some people think it's not a big deal but it is! I hope the OEMC is planning to provide the MRSA wipes! There are at least 5 people from all 3 watches that have been diagnosed with MRSA and administration not once mentioned it in rollcall or in memo! Not cool for people that have kids and a family! Maybe the CDC should be notified to see what we can do to prevent further contamination! Maybe the CDC can send someone to clean up the 911 center since administration claims the report of MRSA is false!

maybe the news affairs should be made aware of the MRSA problem! then maybe our new deputy director (we all know who i'm talking about) will do something about the problem! the CDC will be informed & hopefully they will help us out since our own administration is refusing to do anything about it! im sure if someone on the 4th floor was contagious of course then and only then would something be done! there is going to be a huge investment in new consoles & electronics maybe a little of that money should go to disinfecting the entire 911 center!

last time I checked, almost all humans carry MRSA on them... it has always been around... MRSA only becomes a problem for people when they have an open sore, a cut, a scrape, a cancer sore... so, if you wash, put a bandaid on your cuts, and even go so far as to use an antibiotic ointment on your boo boos then you have nothing to worry about from MRSA

you, the caller do not get this information... it is not yours to have... that information belongs to the OEMC... if you want any information at all, then you can file a FOIA request like every other whiner who feels they deserve to know everything about everything.

Sorry, this is off topic but, Rich Guidice is going to bring you guys down as well. Having visitors or family memebers visit OEMC will come to a halt. This dude is taking girls up in the office on weekends. He'll ruin it for all. at OEMC.

If you crybabies are so worried about the MRSA outbreak, call OSHA! Stop bitching about it here, and do something about it.

You can get a tub of several hundred wipes for under $5. Everybody I know has a bottle of purell type santizer in their purse. I do. I did not wait for anybody to provide it for me. BUY THEM YOURSELVES!!! During your break, go to walgreens, cvs or anywhere for that matter. You are employed adults, take care of yourself.

This is silly, Once again instead of corrected someone who is abusing the system, they decide to punish everyone, not fair,,,

Who really cares anymore, just do your jobs for eight hours and go home. It's that simple. Remember, it's just a job.......

Think about your statement. They cannot correct us without established policy, so they established policy. Simple.

Hey 28 June 11:56. What kind of punishment are you receiving by not being able to bring your very large bag or suitcase on the ops floor. How is it unfair if everyone has to follow the rule. What's silly about that?
