Welcome to the OEMC

Welcome to the OEMC Mr. Orozco. At least, according to the Suntimes that is the news. See Mr Orozco , we, the employees were never really told of your new promotion. But then again that's just the way it is , we are always the last to know anything. Anyway, good luck in your new position.

Hopefully Orozco is smart enough to get rid of JA, and really make a difference!

    Then who will you hate

and if he cannot get rid of ja, i hope orozco is shrewd enough to realize the extent of ja's treacherousness and contain him as much as possible, because every day they are both employed by oemc is a day ja will be plotting orozco's demise. beware mr. orozco. ja is a backstabbing sob. do not underestimate him.

20:16, I will hate no-one. Hate is such a strong word. I could sit here, and lecture semantics, but it would be pointless. Plus, it is worth neither my time, nor my effort.

I float around, hearing both sides of the JA conflict. And to be honest, nothing makes me laugh harder than the followers. A bunch of sheep, they are. JA did this, JA did that, blah, blah, blah. BAAA!

Do you really know what he has done? Wait for it...nothing. With whatever the various vendors bring in, the big man claims as his own. It doesn't matter what it is, but it's all claimed the same. And only one man, *ahem*, little child, claims the fame.

Let's take a look at the UCV. JA swore up and down that it worked, but the wonderful people at Channel 7 proved otherwise. The mayor was left to defend JA, based on the bovine refuse he has been fed. Who's the fool now?

JA needs to seek employment elsewhere, so he can impose his will on the private sector. At least there, millions of lives would not be at stake. If the public actually knew the type of so called leaders that were being floated along, anarchy would be a welcome change.

Sorry for the double post, but it's been a long night......

If JA was such a great asset, why is it that several months ago, in media interviews, he was listed as OEMC Director, but now, before Orozco, he was listed as just "OEMC?"

The media knows he's full of crap, and it's just a matter of time before the rest of the city knows the same.

I just don't understand all the angst associated with JA. Sounds like someone has a personal axe to grind.

  • At 13 July, 2008 11:00 , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I don't know how long you have been around or who YOU are a follower of, but JA has done alot for the OEMC and if he hadn't he would not have survived so long, 8 directors to be exact. If you don't like him, that is fine and your right but really to have so much hate for one individual is amazing. Peraonally, I have been here since 1995 and am glad he is here. History has proven that he has done alot of good for the OEMC. He will move on when he is good and ready and not a day before. His wife has cancer and his elderly mother is very ill as well so, V whoever you are, why not offer him a prayer instead of so much hate.

  • At 13 July, 2008 11:31 , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Both his mother and wife are very ill but his wife fortunately does not have cancer. Still I'm sure paryers would be appreciated for both.

Do I have an axe to grid? No. I've been in and out of the building for years, and I have seen what has been done. So I am not some proby, that's not in the know.

And 1100, and 1131, I should be nice because his family is sick? Maybe we should throw a party to cheer him up if he stubs his toe, or gets a hangnail?

If JA was so clean, why is there an investigation going on?

  • At 13 July, 2008 16:35 , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Investigation is going on because of contract that Ron Huberman and Adrian Heigel signed and paid while he was director. They can't be touched now because they no longer work for a city department. They are both at CTA now. JA is being questioned because he was over the second floor at that time. A good friend on the second floor now said all who were there when Huberman was director have been questioned by the IG. JA's signature has not been found on ANY documents, only Huberman and Heigel. Don't misunderstand this post, I don't believe JA is perfect either by no means but what's fair is fair and the IG has not been able to find any documentation linking him to the Motorola issue that's been all over the media lately. He's just the last man standing from when Huberman was the director.

V, your anger, bitterness and hate are frightening and unhealthy. I will pray for you as well as JA’s family. Even if you don’t agree with how someone else behaves, do unto them as you would like them to do unto you and that will send the loudest message of all. May God bless us all.

  • At 13 July, 2008 23:13 , Anonymous Anonymous said...

ja is a treacherous and backstabbing sob, but the ig is no fool. ja's house of cards is soon to collapse. they've found the link. ja was not as smart as ja wants everyone to believe. he'll be escorted from the oemc while he is crying and sweating. and as far as the private sector, he hasn't a prayer. he doesn't know as much as everyone has been bullshitted to believe. and as far as surviving 8 ed's, it is because he is the snitch for the hall. mr. orozco, beware the argiropolos man.

Now that JA has been tried, judged and burned at the stake, what do you know about our new boss

  • At 14 July, 2008 13:25 , Anonymous Anonymous said...

nothing, but two things. first, he seems to be a genuinely nice guy, which is a breath of fresh air for oemc. second, he should beware of the greek, but still keep him close, right where he can observe and keep an eye on him. if he doesn't, he is too nice and ja will smell the blood. ja will take down #9. word.

Are you kidding me. The Hall powders Ja's ass after every crap. He could have been #1 but position only lasts at most 24 months and it is more adventageous for the Hall to keep him right where he is. As far as JA smelling blood, he will do, as always, exactly what the Hall tells him to do until the day he, or RMD, is ready to retire. That my friend is a safer bet than the lottery!

JA is smart at keeping his hands semi-clean with all the vile stuff he does. He is smart enough to distance himself from what he tells his minions to do. That way, when the axe falls, his head isn't on the chopping block.

If he was truly a great leader, and great person, how come he hasn't been promoted to more than "Acting Director?" Me thinks someone knows something.....

Yea, it's funny how the Mayor allow Mr. Orozco to be moved from the Fire department to the 911. What about that scandal involving the black fire fighters that worked in the Bureau. They were misled by a white female lieutanant.
Perhaps Mr. Orozoco was aware of this scandal and the Mayor is saving his ass.
Fair is fair. If you fire any of those who were a part of that scandal, the city will be paying out more in law suits. Oh I forgot, the city likes to give away money.

If JA was on this blog, why doesn't he speak up and try to clear his name? I don't know about you, but I'd really love to hear his side of the story. It should be good for a laugh or three!!

2130, that's been going on for years, and 99% of it is from goofs in 025 not anybody in 015.

Its also about 1% on second watch, 30% on third watch, and 69% on first watch.

One of a thousand reasons that somebody ought to empty 025 out and rebuild it from scratch.

yeah, i took a fresh look, and found out you are a fucking idiot.

your comments made on 23 july 2008-1117 hours were addressed to 22 july 2008-2130 hours, when you were actually commenting about remarks made by 22 july 2008-1329 hours, not 2130 hours.

which is why on 23 july 2008-1319hours i asked what the fuck you were talking about and, in return and unwarranted, you became a smart ass in your answer on 23 july 2008-1638 hours.

you fucked up smart ass. it is best to have your shit straight before becoming a smart ass, and your shit was not straight. now let the air out of your pretty little head, you pompous fucking asshole. and, btw, i accept your apology.

    In answer to your questions:
    1. you train to be a calltaker first. that lasts about 2 months with classroom and on-the-job (OJT) training. then you go back to the classroom and train for dispatching. that lasts about another ....3 months from what i remember. (it also includes OJT training) then you're on your own.

    2. union representation ?? it's ok. you'll find out for yourself. I dont want to criticize it or praise it. The union has helped us out sometimes and screwed us sometimes. I'll just leave it at that.

    3. probation period .... i dont really remember - it's either 12 or 18 months.

    4. vacations (furloughs) are chosen in November. first you pick a watch. then each watch picks their furloughs by seniority. If you end up at the bottom of your class- (that is chosen by a lottery) you will probably end up with a January furlo.

    Good Luck.

interesting. if so, why does he say the motorola misdeeds are on h and h, not him. cannot have it both ways. rumor from the hall is the mayor likes him, but he is soon to go and will go before h or the other h take a hit, if they ever take a hit. ja, start looking for the copy paper boxes. you are going to need them.
