We need chairs that dont stain and are eas to clean...and our consoles need to be able to rise so we can stand while we work and we need wireless headsets ...we also need to be closer to eachother and more call taking positions need to be added to staff the place!!!!!!!! besides hiring more people!
Holy crap, another day without a Deputy Director and the OEC still hasn't imploded. I want to be on the panel that evaluates what jobs could be eliminated so that we can hire people who will do an honest days work.
Kind of OT- Many city employees were told that if they went to the olympic rally downtown today they could get paid for it. Surprised? Why, this is king Daley's little baby why wouldn't he pay his workers to go campaign for him and his will? Was Obama there too? He was advertised as going to be there. City workers getting paid and getting comp time to go to a olympic rally and just fill the seats so it looks like there are many supporters. Sent on department email too. Any news talking heads going to mention this? Doubt it, as usual the liberals will sweep this under the carpet so the sheep can go about their lives unaware of the corruption and use of their tax dollars as our budget spirals downward and taxes reach historic highs. Anyone have a copy of this email?
You want ideas for the PCAD committee, right? How about training on the new system? How about fixing the location for cell phone feature? I don't know about you, but I'm not that good at locating the GPS coordinates on a map. How about training the NMC on the new system? They try to fix the mess, but they don't know what's going on!! And most importantly, how about mandating that JA keeps his grubby paws out of the system, causing it to f*ck up all the time??
Maybe if they actually tested the PCAD system before rolling it out, there wouldn't be as many problems as there are now. God help us when July 4th rolls around!!
Any city employee who actually admits to wanting the Olympics here is crazy. Especially anyone at 911 or in the Police Department. It will be a logistical nightmare. I like the Olympics just as much as the next person, but keep it out of Chicago. And if that email really exists someone should leak that to Pam Zekman because no way should a city employee get paid to go to that.
Why in the world would they not have the Supervisors restart the computers when you have a guiy problem. They always done it before, and you were back in service within a minute of two. Now waiting for the repair people is ridiculous...but at least you get a good 20 minute break!!
that's the beauty of the 10 hour day-double day off group 3/7's of the watch is RDO and someone is on furlough-if you were too dumb to figure it out and not bid for it, that's your fault

Is it just me wondering why we have a power watch when only half of them ever show up to work. What's the point?
