If true, that is not too good......for Orozco! JA is a cockroach. So far, he has survived all. And if he thinks Orozco is working against him, JA will set his scope on Orozco, put him in the cross hairs, it is lights out mf! He'll be snitching, back stabbing and under cutting Orozco at every opportunity. Orozco, never, ever, underestimate JA. They listen to him at the Mayor's Office. Just count how many Executive Director's he has buried, both figuratively and literally. Take heed Ray.

I heard someone made an anoymous complaint on the city website (which J.A. checks religiously) regarding the integrity of the supervisor's exam. Did anyone find it odd that we were told to bring a pen and then made to take the test in pencil, not scantron, where the results could easily be altered? And as far as the complaint goes, nothing has even been addressed....not the conduct of W/M M.D. who handling the notification process all wrong, letting the ones who didn't pass know, by pulling people off the floor via a supervisor thus making it very public and very humiliating for the ones who did not pass and not even being man enough to address the ones who did not pass at all, but why should we be surprised? It's how M.D. opperates all the time, underhanded and sneaky, always wanting to make people feel awkward and insecure to make up for his own glaring flaws. I so love how the bosses of OEMC take out their own issues they have with themselves out on us, instead of maybe getting, oh I don't know, THERAPY!!!!!!, instead of using us as their outlets. M.D is the last person who should have handled anything regarding this because he is so personally biased, you just knew he would find a way to hurt the people who did not pass, and as for the complaint on the website, J.A. will probably ignore it, because that's what he does best when it isn't something that can benefit him. It's a shame, really, that even with the federal monitor, that the testing process could still be infiltrated, and a watch manager like M.D. can act like a 7th grader and try to make the ones that did not pass feel stupid. Mind you, we don't, but shame on you, M.D. All you do is keep the legacy of M.K. alive and well with your underhanded nonsense and your two faced behavior.

If you are unhappy with the hiring or notification processes you should contact the Department of Human Resources or our Personnel Department. You should become familiar with the way they do things. OEMC Police Dispatch Operations was not involved at all with the Supervisory testing process. The test was given by the federal monitor and personnel. So if answers were changed it would have be done by someone from the federal government. When human resources contacts any dept head concerning a list of potential promotees they are told to make the notification immediately, in person or by phone, so the process can move forward. I agree that people who are not moving forward should be contacted first but that is at the fault of the department of human resources for the City of Chicago, not Police Dispatch Operations. DHR is the only entity that can disperses that information and shame on them for not mailing the regret letter first.

    Exec. Dr. Ray Orozco,

I hope you visit here periodically and read the hints and tips. You were on the Channel 32-Fox News at noon today regarding Virtual Shield and private security cameras. I am glad to see you taking charge and doing the technology interviews. I hope it is because you are the boss and not because JA was unavailable. JA will jump in front of the camera at every chance to give the perception of power and being the boss. The previous Executive Director, Ruiz, was very unsure of himself and over his head so he was happy to let JA do many of the on camera interviews.

Be wise. Continue to keep JA off camera and letting him know you run the place, not him. Besides, it is best you keep him out of sight as much as you can because the Inspector General is fix'n to give JA some REAL BAD news. Until then, never, ever, turn your back on JA, because, if you do, he'll put the knife deep in the sweet spot between your shoulder blades and you will be gone before knowing what happerned. Wishing you continued good luck, and I do not think I am alone in wishing you such.

You are either trolling or you have been under a rock for the last couple of years. If you work here at OEMC, you know the 411.

Some rumors are true, some are false, and most are a combination of the two. JA's is true. Confucious Hoffman say, JA think he smarter than all others, but he very wrong.

    Who cares

    09 October, 2008 12:22

If you work here, you should care. With JA gone we might be able to finally turn a corner. One corner of many we need to turn as an organization.

Be careful turning corners my friend for two reasons:

    1. You never know whats around the corner until you go and have a look.
    2. If you turn four corners you will be right back where you started......just a thought!

  • At 09 October, 2008 22:38 , Anonymous Anonymous said...

You mean if we turn a corner we may get a slimier pig than J.A.? Because if there is another human being alive worse than him, we're all screwed. I'd like to take the chance at turning the corner, we got Orozco and from all accounts seems like a good strong leader, maybe if the Inspector General gets his head out of his ass, we might get someone good.

    1. If you never turn a corner, you will never grow as a person or an organization.

    2. Not necessarily. Only if your turns are all right turns or all left turns.

If they are giving you guys new chairs could you please ship them to 025 for the roll call room. The building manager and her lackey engineer have been stealing the funding for replacement chairs.

He is 400 pounds and has a sweet voice due to a catastrophic injury. He says to give him a call.

    15 October, 2008 12:08,

Your roll call room chairs are used for 10 minutes, 3 times a day, for roll call and ocassionally for a CAPS meeting or some other such meeting. Why would we send you our new chairs, chairs that are desperately needed because chairs do not last long when they are being used 24/7/365? Next dumb question?

  • At 16 October, 2008 19:44 , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Oops. Make that 6 times a day for your roll calls. Still doesn't make sense for us to give our chairs to you!

  • At 17 October, 2008 07:47 , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Have you seen the chairs in 025's roll call room? Most are picked out of school dumpsters. Roll call is held in the basement of the station. The caps meetings are held in the auditorium which has new chairs and fancy tables. The patrolmen in 025 are the dregs of the city. Most of the chairs in the basement have piss stains on them from the janitors who hate the police.

  • At 17 October, 2008 07:50 , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Maybe if the dispatchers lost some weight their chairs wouldn't break all the time. MOOOOOOO! MOOOOOO!

and every cop out there is the poster boy for in shape? some cops in Chicago are so big they catch bad guys only because the criminal gets caught in the cops gravitational pull. when all you cops are in perfect shape then you can start talking crap about us dispatchers

You guys have many freaks working up there. Whats up with the guy that sounds like a broad on zone 12? Why does that zone seem to have the most dispatchers that speak gibberish? You know ghetto mush mouth....

Not jealous. Just been there, slammed that good. It was great and loud as hell. That is a chub that knows the moves. Would love to do it again, but a whole load of incoming calls from many, many different citizens have been disseminated in that center, if you get my drift. I'd go there again, but only if I am wearing my Virtual Shield.

umm..they don't have any respect..that's why many of us for years and years have been saying..dont dip in the company cookie jar.i know it's tempting sometimes..our schedules and such , sometimes police officers are all you meet...but there are other options..don't blame the leopard for not changing their stripes..of course it's juvenile and disrespectful..but consider the source.

To make matters worse, this clown used the persons first name which is a no no. Guess he was more interested in fronting the individual out and making himself seem like the big man. But as usual, his kind never put their name to anything.

I'm going to open this question up to a vote here, if your wife (who's a PO) cheated on you with another guy (also a PO) would you want to know? Oh yeah, and you're a PO too. In other words, could you trust any of these two to have your back? I'll close the vote on Friday. Let me know what you think!
