That dreaded month is coming

In less than 2 months we will have a new 3rd watch crew, 1st watch crew, 2nd watch crew along with many newly picked furlos. With that said, anyone have any insight? Anyone want to see promotions before we bid?

Should be interesting to see the changes. No matter what happens, people will bitch and complain.

I hope they make the selection just before furlo picks. So that will be a few less people to chose get the prime spots.

O.T. ......anybody know why SB on the 3rd watch quit?

Furlo's? You get furlos. But you are just civilians, you should just get a couple vacation days a year.

Promotions before picks? Doubt it..possible grievance from po's will delay promotion process.

Why should we get only a couple vacation days a year? We get to pick 2 furlo segments or 1 segment with a baby furlo just like you do. You think PO's are the only ones entitled to a furlo? I get 19 vacation days..how many do u get asshole?

There are no grievances. The process was fair..anyone who didn't pass or get an interview is just going to have to deal with it.

We're not the only civilians in the city who get furloughs. Besides, we don't get...in ADDITION to furloughs...that whole year of medical that your cohorts abuse the hell out of.

Abuse the medical? How many of you food blister dispatchers are on the brink of Diabetes?

My point was..we get furlo's too..and if all you people have to say about the dispatchers is that we are all fat and some of us can't talk properly..i think you need some new material.

OEMC Dispatchers and Call Takers by far are the most out of shape, over weight and unhealthy people in the United States. A Recent trip to New York's 911 center truly verified the fact that OEMC does have a big problem with maintaining a healthy staff.
It's embarrassing to the City of Chicago that an Ambulance has to be sent over to OEMC once or twice a week because a Dispatcher or Call Taker's blood sugar is out of whack.
Why ? Just sit outside the lobby area and observe:
Dispatcher #1- Eating BBQ chips with a Big Gulp
Call Taker #1 - Eating a bucket Kentucky Fried Chicken
Call Taker #2- Eating a 2 Burritos with mounds of sour cream and not picking up after himself.
Dispatcher #2- Eating a double whopper and she super sized the fries. Yikes !
80 percent of the call floor are over weight.
    Broken Chairs ? I wonder why ?
Sick time is at an all time high ! Call efficiency is at at an all time low. Why ? Because of the above...
I'm embarrassed to be associated with this organization ! Over and Out

Please fell free to move on down the road to a healthier environment, as judged by you. Good luck with that towel person position over at the gym. You'll like the tips. Over and in your face!

I hear that the "Sorry you did not get the promotion" letters are out. Guess we will find out soon who did get the supervisor promotion. Wonder if anyone who deserves it gets it or if it is all clout?
