Open forum

OEMC , make sure you make it out the the open forum hosted by the big boss on the 16th @ 0600 hrs and/or the 18th @ 1400 hrs. This should be interesting!

    Absolutely no meeting scheduled to be easily accessible to members of the 3rd watch. How hurtful.

    Parking
    My Colleagues eating at the Consoles
    Call Takers putting themselves on busy
    FMLA- is this another form of Vacation ?
    Certain Union Reps conducting union business while on the clock instead of call taking.
    We have a Supervisor that's always working out instead of supervising and directing the operations floor.
    I have a lot more to say!!!!
    It's not fair to the Call Takers and Dispatchers who who truly work and are dedicated to the mission of serving the public, while others take advantage of the system.

    Rumour has it from city hall that all OVERTIME will stop Jan 15th 2009 for 911. there will be a hiring freeze also FOR 911, meaning there will be no training dept if there isnt anyone to train..WELCOME BACK TO THE FLOOR TRAINERS....CALLTAKERS AND DISPATCHERS IN SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS THRU OUT THE BUILDING WILL BE PULLED BACK TO THE FLOOR ALSO..

    No more overtime for 911? Cool. Let's hope the powers that be like seeing a horrendous call taking efficiency day in and day out, even in the "slow" winter months. Citizens of Chicago, beware. Prepare to have to rely on yourselves for help in an emergency, because there will NOT be anywhere near enough call takers to answer your calls for help.

    a-the FIREMAN dope orozco doesn't even know a 3rd watch is in existence

    b-promotions, talk to city hall human resources

    c-consoles, talk to ja

    d-parking, never going to be solved, been a problem since we started sharing the building, no solution or would you like valet service

    e-eating at consoles, supervisors have no balls and have favorites, allowed to eat while plugged in so they can drive home and check on their man of the moment or babies or momma while on lunch

    f-call takers on busy, been a problem forever, tell us all how to change it, were you ever a 1, or did you go directly to 2

    g-fmla, if they got a doctor talking for them, nothing you can do, federal law

    h-union reps, check your contract, they are allowed

    i-supervisor always working out, wm has no balls, and they did 'when'

    j-just saved you from wasting your time at a completely useless and irrelevant meeting with a guy that has no clue, i accept your thanks.

    Please don't dog the union stewards for assisting dues paying members. The issues they are dealing with are wide ranging and dont necessarily mean someone was "in trouble" (like payroll). And remember that should YOU ever need assistance--never say never--you are entitled to their assistance also and you don't have to come down on your own time for it.

    08:28, that meeting was scheduled after the fact, after it was brought up here. So, I can only guess that either Ray, or one of his people saw it here, and decided to add another time.

    Speaking of the meeting, did anyone go to the one this morning? What happened? What was brought up? Do the people who brought stuff up still have a job?

So when the big freeze happens later tonite, get ready for the slip & slide dance in the parking lot & walkways into the building on Christmas Day! Our Christmas present from the female in charge of our salt supply! How many injuries do you predict? Can we include her in the lawsuit?

    Meetings schmeetings. JA was there before Orozco and he will be there after Orozco is gone. And JA will continue to get his 155k regardless of how many meetings he attends. If only JA would park his ego and enjoy not having worry about this place. Let Orozco do the worrying.

    It doesnt really matter...Balloon Head JA's ego is out of control. He doesnt like to be outshined by Orozco. He'll do anything to undermine his leader. He doese it everyday here at OEMC when he has his own internal meetings. If only the ED new what his intentions really are.

If Gay Zerozco is not smart enough to check into how cfrucial JA has been to the downfall of many others within our organization, and adequately protect himself, then he deserves to get the screwing JA is fix'n to give him. Oh, and my money is on JA! He has a proven track record. Gay Zerozco will be fucked days before he even feels it.

    The Training Department does more than train incoming call takers and dispatchers. Otherwise, they would've been back on the floor a long time ago. New classes here are far and few in between. And two trainers are going back to the floor next week anyway. But, folks are already complaining about that too. Who cares? Just do YOUR work and pick up your paycheck.

    Give me a break. Those two trainers CHOOSE to go back to the floor. And people are complaining because one of them went from the training dept to AMP as a management pick. Taking a spot away from someone who has been on an actual watch dispatching. Get off the dispatching blog , TRAINER, and go back to whatever it is you think is keeping you busy in there.

    I'm proud to have trained people like yourself "dispatcher/call taker" but sad to see the motivation and committment of dispatching and call taking fade away because of lazy people (like yourself) who get caught up in the BS of the operations floor. Do YOUR job Dispatcher/Call Taker and stay out of the blog while your at work.
