Tis the season

Christmas cheer is in the air! It is that time again. Time to ask Santa what you want from him. So is it another new chair? Do you want a new headset? Do you want a union contract? Let's have some fun with fill in the blank.

Dear Santa,
My wish for this Christmas is________________________

Screw the contracts. Anything you get just gets worse. City gives you a raise, but also raises your share on your medical insurance. I remember when the insurance for cops was free. Such a system.

We all had our chance to pick so we really can't complain now can we. Remember to speak up when it counts not when the decision has been made.

How about this? Does anyone else have a problem with or think it's fair for someone (O.T) who's been in the (cushy hours/sat-sun day off group) training department for years and years to come back to a watch and get A.M Power by Management Pick?? Hmm...perhaps someone who's been on an actual crappy hours watch like 3rd or 1st working 6 days and NOT getting every holiday off should have gotten that spot.

Remember to speak up about a "chance to pick" when you've actually taken advantage of that chance.

If you HAD, you'd have realized at first glance when the chairs were put on the floor that they were NOT chairs that were in the "test" group we were told to pick from. We (the people who actually tested and picked) put our preferences & reasons on paper. They went on and chose chairs we hadn't seen.

So much for our opinion mattering.

14:15 says you need new chairs again? How about losing some of those pounds on your bellies and backsides? Thus the chairs won't break.

these weren't even one of the chairs to choose from.....they gave us a choice and then went with something completely different. the chairs we have now are 100 percent worse than the old ones even in their worst condition. and if they can't get the chairs right what hope do we have for the important things in this place.

shut up stupid......management pick is exactly that picked by management for reasons you don't know crap about. people have actual hardships that they dont go blabbing about to everone in the world....you don't know whats going on in someones life that might give them a valid reason to have a better "cushier" shift.

Give it up already on the chairs. It has already been discussed and documentation with photos are available in the DGS lady's office, think her name is Tammie something or other. The chairs we have are the ones the committee picked. They have the list of names who signed off on them with the photo of the chair we have now. I don't like them either but just deal with it. Oh yeah, be thankful we have jobs and try to be happy it's almost Christmas for crying out loud!

How about just using milk crates for chairs? They don't break. It's the chair of choice outside every west side liquor store.

    Happy co-workers.
No matter what you may think about the place we work in, at least we have a place and don't have to worry about being unemployed this holiday season. It has great benefits, we dont work out in the cold, we have a kitchen and a workout room, and have pretty decent coworkers...most of them anyway. Even the slackers rally around a co worker when the chips are down. If we all stopped and thought about how lucky we are to work were we do, and take home the pay checks we do, and provide our families with decent Christmases then perhaps the small petty bullshit we have to put up with wouldn't seem so bad. So the chairs aren't fur lined, you can't work the zone you want, you didn't get promoted, the sink in the kitchen backs up every now and then, you have to make your own parking spaces somedays, and your partner forgot their deoderant. Just get over it most of us are sick of about hearing about it. In the grand scheme of things we all are doin' just fine. So can we just put all the complaining behinds us, and just enjoy the holidays and be greatful for all the good things we do have??? Happy Holidays

The connection between the Governor and the Mayor is.....? The name has been in the news. This is the link that can bring down Daley and all of his corrupt criminal enterprise corporals, lieutenants and leaders, such as JA! Thank you Santa Fitzgerald. Thank you. And JA, start packing your coffee mugs and bullshit plaques. Bye-bye.

Dorsey Ruley is going to take them all down. He was on the lay-off list and was saved by Compliance. Yes, Compliance who is best buds with...who...come on guess....that's right the IG's office! This guy will be the one who will be the undoing of all of them. Remember he is the one who got off scott free from a sexual harrassment claim that was filed against him and found justified by the sexual harrassment officer, with many years of experience, and then she was asked to resign when the claim was unfounded by the IG's office. Whatever he knows he knows on someone who is a big fish, can you say hired truck, and he will continue to be protected.
