10 more new white shirts
Well today we officially have 10 new supervisors in training. Here is to hoping they remember where they came from, have the want for this job, are able to do their best by standing by the ops floor personnel when that bogus complaint comes in, when the calltaker shoudn't have sent a job to the zone, or tell that dispatcher, "if you don't stay in your seat." I guess all we are looking for is that supervisor that is going to do their job, nuff said!

who would j.a. use as his personal staff if you use all of the 2nd floor dispatchers as dispatchers

Actually I think you mean who would A.R. use as his personal staff if you use all the 2nd floor dispatchers as dispatchers. J.A. has his own two ladies on the 4th floor. Who cares anyway since one of them has been off the floor for well over 10 years now and would have to be retrained and would also have more senority than alot of us anyway. It's only about 4 people total between the 2nd and 4th floors so I don't think if they were all brought back it would help make things any easier for us. The thing that would really help is hiring more people who are actually capable of doing the job.

there are a lot more than 3 or 4...tape review has a bunch too...and city radio used to have one or two working on the pdt's. look at the seniority list and see who is not on the floor...or ask TD on AMP she can rattle off all the names in less than 30 seconds flat!!

Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you were just talking about assistants who answer the phone, etc. not everyone who has been detailed from the floor for various positions. In that case, then yes, there are alot more folks.

yep and none of them doing anything that a regular clerk could not do with a little training...and when you really think about it...the training staff too. you dont need someone in there to tell old war stories to get the lessons taught..supervisor is enough for story tellin

Not true. You must have the working knowledge of a dispatcher and/or a call taker to know the tricks of the trade and satisfy ALL that is required by all official requests and legal documents. A clerk trained in everything we do on the floor, is not a clerk, they have become a dispatcher or a call taker, and can demand equal pay when they are trained and doing the job that requires the skill set of a dispatcher or call taker.

How about they install a bogus job boss? Someone to oversee all the bogus calls from the same phone.

They are going to rotate on the watches but their last stop is their permanent stop. Yes, K.M. and P.J. will be on 2nd watch at least until the end of the year. LOL!!!

Stop starting rumors, especially stupid ones that don't make any sense.
